In February, Uefa and Fifa announced that they are stopping Russian teams from participating in tournaments organized by both confederations, at both national team and club team level.
This resulted in the Russian women not being able to participate in this summer's EC and the men not being allowed to play in the playoffs for the WC in Qatar.
The EC qualifiers start in March next year.
