Before the start of the men's basketball B league this month, an event was held in which the core players of the 24 teams belonging to the B1 gathered to talk about their enthusiasm for the new season.

The basketball men's B league will start B1 on the 29th of this month.

Before that, an event was held in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo on the 20th, with the participation of chairman Shinji Shimada and the core players of the 24 B1 teams.

Among them, Utsunomiya Brex's Shin Hiejima, who is aiming for the second consecutive league title, said, "I want to greedily aim for all titles, such as consecutive league titles and the Emperor's Cup."

Yuki Togashi of the Chiba Jets, who is aiming to win the championship for the first time in two seasons, said, "Many staff members, including the head coach, have changed, but I want to liven things up with speedy basketball."

After the event, last season's league MVP, Yuma Fujii of the Kawasaki Brave Thunders said, "So far, I've missed the championship by one step, and I have a strong feeling that this year will be the best. Basketball is interesting, I'll watch it again. I want to play a game that makes people want to come," he said.

Starting this season, the B1 will be divided into three divisions: East, Central, and West. Each team will play 60 games in the regular season, and the championship final will be held in May next year to determine the winner.
