Andreas Linde, everyday in Greuther Fürth has been terrible this week so Janne Andersson called in another goalkeeper to the national team just in case.

It was the doldisen Leopold Wahlstedt, 23, from Norwegian table seven Odds BK.

Something that surprised Patrik Carlgren, who has been responsible for a couple of strong seasons with the Danish league's league leader Randers.

- I have received a lot of messages, from goalkeepers, managers and football people in general wondering what has happened.

So, yes, I am surprised, he tells Sportbladet.

"Must be about something personal"

Carlgren does not understand what else he can do on the football field to be selected for the national team.

- It must be about something personal against me.

I have to be honest and say that, but I really hope it isn't, he says.

- I haven't had contact with Janne or any of the other national team leaders for a long time.

In terms of football, I feel that I have done everything to get there.

You can't do more.

Janne: "Leopold is a younger goalkeeper"

Janne Andersson was asked at a press conference why he chose Wahsltedt over Carlgren.

- Our goalkeeper coach Maths Elfvendal, who is extremely competent, evaluates the goalkeepers week in and week out.

Patrik Carlgren has done great.

Jacob Rinne (formerly Aalborg, now Al-Fateh) as well.

The two are roughly the same age as Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Andreas Linde and Robin Olsen, says Janne.

- Leopold is a younger goalkeeper.

He is at a different age and at a different stage in his career, just like when I took Pontus Dahlberg out for a period.

Therefore, it feels interesting to take out Leopold Wahlstedt.

But it is very, very even behind and Patrik Carlgren is one of the goalkeepers there, says Janne Andersson.
