470 mixed is a new Olympic discipline in Paris 2024. And this week's EC in Turkish Cesme showed that Sweden has a really big medal hope in the discipline.
Because today Lovisa Karlsson and Anton Dahlberg became EC gold medalists.
Dahlberg won Olympic silver last year
Even before the day's final sailing, the duo had secured a medal, and when the competition was over it was clear that the medal was of the very noblest value.
Anton Dahlberg took Olympic silver in Tokyo last summer, then competing in the men's 470 paired with Fredrik Bergström, a class that for the next Olympics is replaced with 470 mixed.
In April, Lovisa Carlsson and Anton Dahlberg won the World Cup regatta in Hyères, France, in competition with large parts of the world's elite.
