The German eventing riders won the team title at the World Championships in Italy.

The team around Julia Krajewski on Amande and Michael Jung with Chipmunk relegated the USA and New Zealand to second and third place on Sunday in Rocca di Papa.

Sandra Auffarth and Viamant de Matz as well as Christoph Wahler and Carjatan completed the German team.

In the singles, Olympic champion Julia Krajewski on Amande secured silver behind the new British title holder Yasmin Ingham on Banzai, who succeeded her teammate Rosalind Canter.

The Jung, who was still leading before the final jumping, fell back to fifth place after eight penalty points with Chipmunk.
