Japan lost to Uzbekistan with a record of 1 win and 3 losses in the Davis Cup World Group Division 1 of the men's tennis competition, missing out on qualifying for next year's Finals qualifiers.

In the Davis Cup, World Group 1 Japan will play against Uzbekistan in the capital city of Tashkent over two days.

The third doubles match was held on the 17th, and the pair of Kaito Uesugi and Yosuke Watanuki won the first set 6-3, but lost the second set 6-7 after a tie-break. Then, the third set was also dropped 2-6, and the set count was 2-1.
