Due to a violation of the doping control procedure while playing for Cagliari, the midfielder was disqualified by the National Anti-Doping Court of Italy until December 5, according to the official website of the red and white.

Balde will be able to return to the training process no earlier than 22 days before the expiration of the sentence.

The Senegalese made 26 appearances for Cagliari in all competitions in the 2021/22 season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
