Four years ago, soccer goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger was declared healthy from her thyroid cancer.

But last month the Chelsea star announced that the cancer has returned.

"I've said before that as a sports person you have to fight every day to be as good as you can be.

It is something that I will continue to do, and I hope that by sharing my journey I can help others who are in a similar situation,” she wrote in a statement on August 23.

Completed treatment

Now she has started the journey back.

A week after the announcement, she wrote on Instagram that she underwent treatment over the weekend.

"I am now back at home after undergoing treatment over the weekend.

Now I'm looking forward to returning to Chelsea and working with the team," she wrote at the time.

Been training this week

And this week more positive news has arrived.

On Monday, Chelsea published on the club's social media a picture of Berger in training clothes, with the text: "With the team!".

The club has since posted additional photos and videos of Berger from this week's training.

However, no official statement on her status has been forthcoming.
