Poland has been the big bang of the basketball EC and, for the first time in over 50 years, was included and defeated among the top four in a European Championship.

But in Friday's semi-final against France, there was a class difference.

France have had luck on their side so far in the European Championship, beating both Turkey in the round of 16 (87-86) and Italy in the quarters (93-85) after extra time.

But this time it wasn't the same nerve.

Already at half time the score was 34-18 after France dominated the entire court, and in the second half of the match they only diluted the numbers even more.

The final score difference of 41 points is the biggest ever in a European Championship semi-final, according to Viaplay's broadcast.

All twelve players in the French squad were noted for points, with Guerschon Yabusele the sharpest of all with 22. In Poland, no player was noted for double figures in the scoring column.

France now has the chance to secure the nation's second ever European Championship gold.

The last time they went all the way was in 2013. In the team they have NBA players like Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz), Evan Fournier (New York Knicks) and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (Atlanta Hawks).

The final and the bronze match will be played on Sunday.
