The Race of Champions was decided in Piteå in February this year, and after the success it is now clear that the motorfest will return to Sweden, and Piteå, on January 28-29, 2023.

Some of motorsport's greatest drivers of all time will line up, and it's heavy names that ROC has now unveiled as they released the first six names.

• "The flying Finn" Mika Häkkinen, now 53 years old, is a two-time world champion in Formula 1.

• German Sebastian Vettel ended his F1 career just under two months ago, and has four world championship titles to his credit.

In 2010, he became the youngest ever to win the title, aged just 23.

• 24-year-old British racing driver Jamie Chadwick won the W Series in 2019 and 2021 and holds the record for most wins, podiums, pole positions and points in the W Series.

• Arvika's son Johan Kristofferson is multiple world champion in rallycross.

• Petter Solberg is the only driver to become world champion in two motorsport disciplines as he won the WC in both rally and rallycross.

Son Oliver Solberg is Sweden's most prominent rally driver right now.

The full driver line-up will be presented closer to the races.

The Race Of Champions runs over two days and is a party for motorsport lovers where some of the biggest names in, for example, F1, Nascar and Indycar go head-to-head in identical cars.

The race was organized for the first time in 1988.
