• La Liga Scare at Cádiz - Barça: the match was stopped due to a medical emergency in the stands

One of the doctors who helped save the life of the man who suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest in the

Nuevo Mirandilla

stands , in the match between

Cádiz and Barça

, has recounted on his Twitter profile how the situation was.

Sergio Salgado

, Andalusian 061 doctor, has stated that when his team arrived at the stadium they found several people performing

chest compressions

and a colleague from 061 who said: "It's a good thing you've arrived, there's no material here at all."

According to Salgado there was no "material for peripheral venous access", although there was a

defibrillator

that had not been used properly.

The first thing they did to stabilize the patient was to intubate him, obtain venous access and place the patches to give the first electric shock.

The doctor appreciates the work of the people who entered the

chest compression wheel

thanks to which the patient recovered his own heart rate and pulse.

Once the patient had come out of cardiorespiratory arrest, the 061 team decided to request a stretcher and transfer him.

To continue with the rescue they needed to use material that they carried in a

backpack

, but the bag had disappeared.

The doctor decided to quickly transfer the patient to the

ambulance

to continue the maneuvers there.

The road was complicated because they could not secure the man because he did not have the backpack.

Some time later they found out that a person had taken the material to serve a cameraman.

Sergio Salgado has denounced that

Cádiz

does not have a self-sufficient health device.

In the city there is only one

061 emergency team and two

SUAP

teams

.

According to the doctor, if they had been busy, with the team that was in the stadium, the patient would not have come out ahead.
