It was just before the break that MFF defender Niklas Moisander, 36, injured his right knee badly when he got into a duel with IFK Norrköping's Christoffer Nyman.

An initial examination says that the anterior cruciate ligament is torn in the right knee, says MFF's team doctor Pär Herbertsson after MFF's 2–1 victory.

- This is so tragic, you are so sad, says Herbertsson.

Christiansen also broke the match

An MRI scan will be carried out on Monday and if it is a torn cruciate ligament, the 36-year-old Finn is expected to be out for at least nine months.

The defender was out for large parts of the spring season as well.

Then it was an injury to his left knee, which he previously had similar injuries to.

In addition to Moisander, team captain Anders Christiansen was also forced to break the match against Norrköping.

Already after 25 minutes, the Dane had to step off.

- A little feeling in the front of the thighs, says Herbertsson.

The MFF doctor does not believe that Christiansen is up for the game away to Belgian Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League on Thursday.

It is Malmö's second match in the group stage and in the first one last Thursday at home against Braga, midfielder Erdal Rakip injured his groin.

Malmö has, for example, Adi Nalic and Mahamé Siby long-term injured.
