Bayern Munich, the defending champion, missed the opportunity to be at the top of the German Football League, after drawing 2-2 with its guest, Stuttgart, on Saturday, in the sixth round of the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund suffered their second defeat this season, falling 0-3 at the Leipzig stadium.

In the rest of the matches, Hoffenheim defeated its guest Mainz 4-1, Wolfsburg defeated its host Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0, and Hertha Berlin tied its guest Bayer Leverkusen 2-2.

Bayern scored one point, raised its score to 12 points, and shared the top spot in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, Dortmund and Freiburg, who meet their guest Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Bayern continued to fail to win the league by achieving a third consecutive draw against 3 victories, and remains the only one with Union Berlin and Cologne, who have not suffered any defeat so far this season.

At the Allianz Arena, things started well for Bayern, who host Barcelona in the Champions League next Tuesday, when striker Matthijs Thiel opened the scoring in the 36th minute.

The France youth national team player became the youngest to participate in Bayern's starting lineup in the league at the age of 17 years and 136 days, and had previously scored in the first round of the German Cup.

His first goal in the league came when he converted Alphonso Davies' low cross into the net.

Chris Fehrish responded with a goal for Stuttgart in the 57th minute.

The young German star Jamal Musiala added the second goal for the Bavarian club in the 60th minute, but Stuttgart got a penalty in overtime for the match, from which Guinean Serho Gerassi scored the fatal equalizer for the away team.

The referee canceled a goal for Stuttgart after referring to the video technology, due to the presence of a violation by Musk before the goal was scored.

Leipzig drops Dortmund

At the Red Bull Arena, Leipzig played its first match under the leadership of its new coach, Marco Rose, who faced his former team Dortmund, after he left his training at the end of last season.

Hungarian Willy Orban advanced with a goal for Leipzig in the sixth minute, then the other Hungarian Dominic Szoboszlai added the second goal in the 45th minute, and Malian Amadou Haidara secured the third goal in the 84th minute.

Leipzig regained its balance after losing at Eintracht Frankfurt 0-4 in the last round of the Bundesliga and then falling to its guest Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine 4-1 at the start of its Champions League campaign last Tuesday.
