Dubai will host the “Professional Beach Volleyball World Tour” tournament organized by the International Volleyball Federation, with the support of the Dubai Sports Council in cooperation with the Volleyball Federation, from 22 to 30 October, on Kite Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world. It has become a center for practicing various beach sports as well as being a popular family get-together.
24 of the world's top-ranked professional teams, men and women, compete in the tournament, with each team featuring players on the field in addition to the reserves.
The Dubai Sports Council said in a statement that the tournament is an important addition to the list of international sporting events hosted by Dubai, which was preceded by international beach tournaments, most notably the Confederations Cup for beach soccer, Foot Foley, beach tennis, beach polo, and others. It also supports the diversity in sports that the Dubai Council is keen on. Al-Riyadi hosts and organizes it throughout the year to meet the needs of all segments of society of different nationalities.
