The Swedish EC number one goes for gold at the World Wrestling Championships: "Know that I can challenge everyone"

Earlier this year, Jonna Malmgren took EC gold in her first senior championship.

Now awaits the 21-year-old's first WC.

 - I feel ready, I feel ready.

The goal is always a medal, preferably gold of course.

I hope to get my wrestling out properly and that I manage to get in shape.

Then I think it will go really well, she says.

What is it like going into the WC with a European Championship gold behind you?

- I come in with confidence.

I know I can, I know I can challenge everyone.

Change weight class

Johanna Lindborg missed the EC due to injury and has moved up a weight class after the injury, from the 57 to the 62-kilogram class.

- It is difficult to know where you stand when you are competing in a championship, but with the summer's competitions behind you, it is absolutely reasonable to aim for a medal.

I've changed weight classes, I've entered many competitions there and performed well against Olympic and World Cup medallists, says Johanna Lindborg.

The World Wrestling Championships will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, September 10-18.
