The Arab club draw puts Sharjah in the first group

The draw for the Arab Clubs Handball Championship, held in its 37th edition in Tunisia from September 17 to 27, was the representative of the state, the Sharjah team in the first group, next to the Kuwaiti Salmiya, the Tunisian African, and Amal Skikda, while the second group included the Asian and African champions. Kuwait City, Egypt's Zamalek, next to Mouloudia Al-Jazaery and Tunisia's Esperance.

The draw ceremony was held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Saudi Super Cup, with the eight teams in Arabiya Tunisia competing to extract the only qualifying ticket for the tournament to the Super Globe Club World Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia at the end of October.

Earlier this year, the International Handball Federation granted the participation of the Arab club champion in the Club World Cup "Super Globe" in the 2022 and 2023 versions, in addition to the participation of the Arab Super Cup in its 2023 version, to carry the current year's version of the Club World Cup with 10 clubs. After the Egyptian Al-Ahly, the Brazilian Taobati, and the German Magdebrog, the holder of the title of the last edition, qualified for it, along with a Saudi team as the host of the event, provided that the coming days determine the identity of the competing teams in the World Cup, pending the resolution of the champions of the continents of Europe, Asia, and North America, And Oceania, next to the Arab champion, and an invitation to another team.

The Sharjah team is currently holding its external camp in the city of Sousse, which extends until the 15th of this month, before moving to the city of Hammamet to enter the atmosphere of the tournament held in its preliminary round in the group league system from one stage, the results of which result in the qualification of the first and second places in both groups to the semi-finals Final.

It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Club team's mission to Tunisia includes 18 players, including the Tunisian professional trio Misbah Al-Sanei, the Algerian Zuhair Naim, and the Egyptian Mahmoud Fayez, in addition to the assignments made by the team to include both Al-Jazira players Abdul Aziz Al-Junaibi and goalkeeper Ahmed Hassan.
