Tunisian Ons Jabeur is preparing to turn the nightmare of the Wimbledon Open tennis tournament in America into a dream, as she reached the final of a Grand Slam for the second time in a row, and has the tools she needs to complete her career.

The world number five advanced by a set against Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in the Wimbledon final, but disappointment dominated her icy calm and deteriorated, and the victory slipped from her hand at the All England Club.

Two months later, Ons said she was more confident in her second attempt to win her first Grand Slam title after beating Caroline Garcia 6-1 6-3 to book her place in the final on Saturday against world number one Iga Chiantek.

"The final in Wimbledon was very difficult for me, especially the second set. But I feel in this final that I will give everything I have, and I will do my best," said Ons, who is the first African player to reach the final on Flushing Meadows in the professional era.

The Tunisian champion faces a difficult task, which is to beat world number one Iga Chiantek on Saturday, after the Polish player escaped from a delay, as she beat Arina Sabalenka of Belarus 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Chiantik defeated Anas in the last meeting between them in the final in Rome last May, a period in which the Polish player starred, achieving 37 consecutive wins and winning the French Open title for the second time in her career.

"Iga does not lose in finals, so it will be a very difficult match, it will be a difficult match. I will try to avenge for sure. I love playing on this kind of (hard) court, and I feel like I know exactly what to do in front of it," Anas said.
