English Premier League matches postponed to mourn Queen's departure

The English Premier League said on Friday it had decided to postpone all matches of the next round of the tournament to mourn the passing of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

"As an expression of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, it has been decided to postpone the matches of the next round of the Premier League," the league added in a statement.

Queen Elizabeth II, Britain's longest-reigning monarch, died at the age of 96 on Thursday.
