Carmen Martin was named the world's best right-handed six at the last WC and has been one of the very biggest on the international handball scene for the past ten years.

She has won the Champions League, won a medal at the Olympics, WC and European Championship and won six league titles.

Also chosen as the championship's best right-back several times.

She is seen as the biggest international signing ever.

- The family took me here.

Should Sävehof come to the Champions League, I will be ready, but I have realized that the time of the Champions League may be over.

It was for the good of the family that I decided on Sävehof, says Carmen Martin to SVT Sport.

The debut takes place tonight when Sävehof visits Skara in the premiere.

Keeps a low profile

Another player who will spice up SHE is Isabelle Gulldén.

The Swedish star won the Champions League together with Martin when they played in CSM Bucharest in 2016.

- She has a handball brain that wing players don't always possess.

She enters the court and moves without the ball.

And she is a fantastic finisher, says Gulldén and continues to sprinkle superlatives:

- She offers that little extra.

Screws balls and finds the line.

If young people look at her and we get that mentality in, a lot is won, says Gulldén, who is playing in Lugi this year.

Carmen Martin herself keeps a low profile.

- My position is not that dominant and I don't know how much I can influence.

I've been on teams where you had other better options than finding the rim, so I don't know how it will turn out.

She sees the definitive strength in experience.

- I really think I can contribute there, says Carmen Martin just before her first match in Säverhof.
