The Guinness Book of Records recently formalized the world record for static sheathing set by Silehm Boussehaba, an athlete living in Dijon (Côte-d'Or).

On July 24, the 27-year-old remained lying on the ground, resting on his forearms and toes alone for thirty-one minutes and 24 seconds, details

He carried a backpack weighing 20 kg during his feat.

He, who is also a dancer, improved on the previous best world performance: 31 minutes and 17 seconds.

Silehm Boussehaba already held three other weighted sheathing world records.

The Dijonnais has indeed broken the record twice with a ballast of 90 kg in 2018 and 2021 and also established in 2018 the best performance in the world with a weight of 45 kg.

Silehm Boussehaba said he now aims to measure himself against the world record for board without any weight, currently 9h30 and one second.
