German coach Jurgen Klopp says that the latter is in dire need of the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, the team player, to be at the level that the fans are accustomed to.

In this context, former Liverpool player Graeme Souness said, "I hope that Salah's decline in performance will not be due to him signing a new contract. I hope that what I say will anger him and prove to me the opposite."

This decline prompted some Liverpool fans to criticize the Egyptian king and demand him to return quickly to his level to extricate the team from its crisis, before losing early in the competition for the Premier League title.

Salah scored only two goals in 6 matches after he was the top scorer in the Premier League last season, and a number of fans started talking about the departure of Senegalese Sadio Mane from the Reds and his move to Bayern Munich not only negatively affecting the team's performance in general, but also Salah's level in particular.

Mahrez also angered the Manchester City fans after he was the team's top scorer last season, but he did not provide much despite his participation as a substitute in more than one match, and lost his place in the starting lineup of the list of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola.

It is noteworthy that City lost 4 points in 6 matches this season, and Liverpool lost 9 points out of a possible total of 18.
