Benzema's injury raises an emergency situation in the royal club, given his great role with the team, as he topped the list of top scorers in the last edition of the Champions League, which Real Madrid crowned, after scoring 15 goals, and scored four goals in five matches in all competitions this season.
Benzema was not the only injury in the match, as defender Eder Militao left between the two halves and could not complete the match, and Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti used the German Antonio Rudiger to strengthen Real Madrid's defense in the second half.
