  The Lusail Stadium will be officially unveiled on the evening of September 9, local time, and will host ten matches during the Qatar World Cup, which is also the stadium with the most matches during the World Cup.

In addition to the six group matches that all stadiums will host, the Lussell Stadium will also host the quarter-finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

The Russell Stadium will make its World Cup debut in the first round of Group C against Saudi Arabia on November 22, local time.

  The design of the stadium is futuristic, inspired by the light and shadow pattern of the traditional Arabian fanar lantern.

The shape and façade of the stadium echo the intricate decorations on the traditional Qatari golden bowls and other vessels, a prominent feature of the Golden Age of Arts and Crafts in the Arab and Islamic worlds.

  The construction of Lusail Stadium uses sustainable construction methods and a wastewater recycling system, which saves 40% of industrial water compared to traditional stadium construction, and the recycled water is used to irrigate the plants around the field.

The roof is made of a state-of-the-art polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material that protects the stadium from warm winds, prevents dust from entering, and provides enough light for the stadium, while providing shade to reduce the burden on the stadium's air conditioning and refrigeration systems .

It is reported that after the World Cup, the stadium's upper stands will be reused, and the seats removed will be donated to communities lacking sports infrastructure.
