The ladies' batting competition was dramatic.

In the end, Swedish sensation Grete Ahlberg won.

The 24-year-old - who broke through at the WC last summer - hit 69.30 in the final round.

With that, she won by six centimeters ahead of Finland's Kirsta Tervo.

- It's dreamlike.

Magically.

To bring it out when it matters, says Ahlberg afterwards.

"Be absolutely sure"

She was nervous.

- I was absolutely sure that she (Tervo) was over 70 meters first.

So I started packing.

Then I heard everyone screaming.

Despite Ahlberg's first place, Finland still won the hammer competition with a total of 12–10.
