Manchester United started the season with two real rock bottoms.

First a 2-1 loss at home against Brighton and then an embarrassing 4-0 cod in the away meeting with Brentford.

There and then there were many who suspected, with good reason, that they were headed for another fiasco season.

In the last ten days, however, we have witnessed a different United.

2-1 at home against Liverpool and a 1-0 away win against Southampton was followed up on Thursday evening with another scalp, this time against Leicester.

Jadon Sancho scored the game's only goal 23 minutes into the first half and then not much else happened.

United guarded their lead and Leicester almost got nowhere.

Anthony Elanga did not make much of an impression and was replaced after an hour of play.

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf remained on the bench throughout the match.
