The Dubai Fitness Challenge, the pioneering sports initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, returns in its sixth session to encourage all members of society to renew their commitment to a healthier and more active future, from 29 October to November 27, 2022.

Stemming from the initiative’s primary goal, which is to make Dubai one of the most active cities in the world, and to emphasize its position as the best cities to live, work and visit, the Dubai Fitness Challenge once again encourages Dubai residents and visitors to lead a more active lifestyle by committing to exercising 30 minutes of exercise Activity daily for 30 days, through a variety of sporting events that will be announced soon.

Since its launch in 2017, the Dubai Fitness Challenge has contributed to strengthening the infrastructure and sports facilities across the city, in addition to encouraging members of the community of all nationalities to adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle.

The comprehensive calendar of events is designed to motivate Dubai residents and visitors to enjoy a fun sporting experience with family and friends, and to try new activities, which they may not have tried before.

For information, 1.65 million participants participated in last year's session, an increase of 10% over the 2020 session, which represents almost half of the population of Dubai.

The "Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022" will witness the return of the "Dubai Cycling Challenge", one of the most prominent activities of the initiative, on the sixth of November, to provide the opportunity for families and fans of this sport to have a unique experience, when they race between the most prominent and famous landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road, in addition to To the "Dubai Running Challenge", which will be held on November 20, to transform Sheikh Zayed Road into a running track open to families, amateur and professional runners, as part of the largest community event for running.

These two challenges set records in the last cycle in terms of the number of participants, as 33,000 riders participated in the "Dubai Cycling Challenge", while 146,000 runners joined the "Dubai Run Challenge" on Sheikh Zayed Road.

 The challenge calls on Dubai residents and visitors to commit to 30 minutes of activity per day for 30 days.
