Hilary Knight became the all-time leading scorer as the USA beat Hungary

Before the World Cup in Denmark, the Canadian legend Hayley Wickenheiser, who played one season in the Swedish men's team Linden HC (division 1), was the one who scored the most points in women's World Cup history: 86.

That is no longer the case.

Tonight she was passed by USA forward Hilary Knight.

When Knight, 12.39 into the second period, assisted on Hannah Bilka's 7–0 goal in the quarterfinals against Hungary, she tied Wickenheiser's scoring record.

And 3.10 later, when she got a second assist to Caroline Harvey's 9-0, she was suddenly the sole record holder.

During his career, 33-year-old Knight has won, among other things, eight WC and one Olympic gold.
