Sweden was completely outplayed against Canada.

But Sweden stayed close to Canada on the scoreboard after all.

And even though it was a good defensive game that the Ladies' Crowns played, there was one player who really stood out;

goalkeeper Emma Söderberg.

Söderberg was incredibly stable in the box and accounted for sweaty saves.

In the first period, she saved 13 of 14 shots, which meant that the team still had a chance for victory.

In the second period, Canada poured even more.

A lot because of three Swedish expulsions.

Canada fired 19 shots on goal, with Söderberg finally letting in a puck.

That after Sarah Potomak was responsible for a delicious performance where she took the puck from the center zone, through the entire Swedish defense, and feinted away Söderberg.

A goal of the highest class.

In the third period, Canada continued to dominate in total.

But so did Söderberg, who was responsible for a number of sweaty saves.

With seven minutes left, Canada would make it 3-0 with a shot from distance where Söderberg saw nothing.

A goal that was the last of the match.
