It has long been rumored that Jonathan Dahlén would be on his way back to Timrå IK and when the club started a Swish campaign a few days ago, many probably realized that it was getting closer.

On Tuesday, the target of SEK 600,000 was reached and today Dahlén signed a new five-year contract with the club.

- It's really fun that Jonathan is coming back to Timrå IK.

Everyone probably already knows that he is an incredibly good hockey player, but his importance to the club and the supporters is also great off the ice, so it is great fun that another player returns home to Timrå IK, says Timrå's sports director Kimmo Kapanen in a press release.

Dahlén, who brought up Timrå in the SHL on two occasions, played last season in the NHL team San José Sharks where he scored 22 points in 61 games.

He has never played in the SHL, but during his last two seasons in the Hockeyallsvenskan he collected points, a total of 148 in 96 games.
