The Japanese handball league aims to establish a new professional league in 2024, the year after next, as it is necessary to conduct more independent management for the continuation of the league.



On the 29th, he held a press conference in Tokyo and announced that the opening of this new professional league would be changed from February of the year after next to September.



The main reasons for the change are the high possibility that the initial start time will overlap with international competitions such as qualifying for the Paris Olympics, and the aim to make it easier to acquire players by matching the start time with European leagues. and



In the new schedule, the league will be held from September of the year after next to around May of the following year.
