On August 28, as the first important fencing event in China this year, the 2022 National Fencing Championship (Qingdao Station) kicked off at Qingdao Guoxin Stadium.

Nearly 700 athletes from 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China will compete in 22 individual and team events.

Chen Qingyuan, the individual runner-up in women's foil at the 2022 Asian Fencing Championships, and Li Shanshan and Yu Sihan, the 2022 Women's Epee World Cup epee team runners-up in the FFI 2022 season, will all appear in this event, and will build up their energy for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

  On the first day of the competition, there were three competitions in the youth group. Shan Yifan from the Shanghai team won the women's sabre championship in the youth group, Zhang Bo from the Shanghai team won the men's saber championship in the youth group, and Ke Zhixuan from the Zhejiang team won the championship. Won the Youth Women's Foil Championship.

  The National Fencing Championship is one of the highest level and standard events in China's domestic fencing competition.

This competition is the first stop of the 2022 National Fencing Championship. It is sponsored by the Chinese Fencing Association and the Shandong Provincial Sports Bureau. It will last for 8 days and set up 22 competitions. Among them, the individual all-around competition and the mixed team competition are the first to appear in the national competition.
