Ludvig Håkansson missed tonight's WC qualifying match due to injury.

Without the 26-year-old, Sweden had little to offer against star-studded Germany.

The guests started the qualifying meeting with flying colors and after the first period, Sweden was at a disadvantage by as much as 9-25.

- I see a national team with an identity crisis, who didn't even know they had an identity crisis.

Sweden is shocked.

They are not at all in this match yet and Germany, which is big and physical, uses it to one hundred percent, says SVT Sports expert Nick Rajacic after the first period.

Played up in the third

By half-time, Germany's lead had been stretched even further.

Despite the big deficit, Sweden managed to recover and after the third period the deficit had shrunk to twelve points, 42-54.

- I think that Sweden dictates the pace in the third period.

However, you have to take the penalty, says Rajacic.

However, they didn't get any closer than that and eventually lost 50-67.

"Ludde is missed incredibly much"

After the loss, there was disappointment in the Swedish camp.

- It is not so good.

I think we are one step behind the whole match.

Then it is clear that Ludde (Håkansson) is missed incredibly much.

But I don't think we shot that many open shots today.

No one created anything, not even me.

Now awaits a new World Cup qualifying match against Israel on Sunday.
