On Friday, the mountain bike World Cup starts in France.

One day before the premiere, Swedish profile Jenny Rissveds is forced to throw in the towel.

The 28-year-old - who has a strong season behind her with several podium places in the World Cup - tells Radiosporten that she is suffering from a cold.

- I started with calm training and then it (the cold) broke out again.

I suspect that I started a little too soon, says Rissveds.

After his Olympic gold in 2018, Rissveds struggled with his mental health.

Today she feels better - which eases the setback before the WC.

- It sucks that I can't drive, but thanks to the fact that I feel good in general, I can take it better now, she says.
