The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom's welcome to all holders of the "Haya" card for fans of the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar during the next November and December.

The ministry explained - in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency - that it will allow the application for an entry visa to the Kingdom in accordance with the following controls:

  • Allow "Haya" card holders to enter the Kingdom 10 days before the start of the World Cup after obtaining an electronic visa through the unified national visa platform, and the ministry will announce later on how to submit the visa application and the mechanism for obtaining it.

  • Entry visa holders can stay in the Kingdom for 60 days.

  • Visa holders have the right to enter and exit the Kingdom several times during the validity of the visa.

  • No prior entry to Qatar is required.

  • Obtaining medical insurance before coming to the Kingdom.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, which is responsible for organizing the Qatar World Cup, said that the "Haya" card represents the only gateway for fans wishing to enter the State of Qatar during the Qatar World Cup 2022, and it includes all masses, citizens and residents, as well as international audiences.

In turn, the Executive Director of the “Haya” platform in the committee, Saeed Al-Kuwari, confirmed that the demand for obtaining the Haya card is great from the fans, and there are many applicants who have already obtained the card, which will be activated during the period from 6 to 11 September to attend the “Super Cup” match. Lusail" (which brings together the champions of Saudi Arabia and Egypt), and during the period from November 1 to December 23 to enter the State of Qatar, and also allows fans to stay in the country until January 23 next.
