It has been really thin with Swedish skiing success on the men's side in recent years, but now it has started to lighten up a bit.

William Poromaa was responsible for some impressive efforts at the end of last season and behind the scenes there are whispers of a 16-year-old great promise who is already able to keep up with the senior players.

- It is a good talent that Sweden has produced.

He can become a jewel, says Petter Northug to NRK when Alvar Myhlback speaks.

This summer, Myhlback has made a couple of appearances on Norwegian soil, at the beginning of August he did well at Blinkfestivalen and on Monday he competed with the Norwegian stars in a roller ski sprint in Trysil.

- He seems very solid, and he has done very well in the roller skiing competitions.

I spoke to Even Northug (Petter's brother), and the Swede gave him a good fight in the race, says Northug.

- It is fun.

I don't feel pressure, but it's fun that people believe in me.

I have great respect for Petter Northug, says Myhlback to NRK.
