The large medal haul in Aalborg means that the championship is Sweden's best so far on the women's side.

The Swedish team consisting of Anna Andersson, Sandra Andersson, Josefin Hermansson, Victoria Johansson, Cajsa Wegner and Jenny Wegner broke the previous record of eleven medals from the 2018 European Championships.

- We are doing an absolutely incredible championship.

Our goal was to win a medal in all distances and we really live up to the goals, says Josefin Hermansson, who is going home with five medals, on the association's website.

Sweden started the championship by winning all three medals in singles and continued to collect medals all the way to the finish.

It was Swedish gold in all distances except All Event.

- The team's strength is that we have a very high minimum level.

We were in the United States and got a taste of very difficult courses and got us food for thought and got to work on it, says the confederation's Robert Andersson.
