After the cross-country season, Slovenian sprint star Anamarija Lampic switched cross-country skis to biathlon.

For SVT Sport, she talked about how Stina Nilsson was the great role model.

- It's great that Anamarija (Lampic) has chosen to invest in biathlon, I hope to compete against her many times, says Nilsson to SVT Sport.

Have more people from the cross-country skiing world contacted you and been curious about a change?

- That has certainly been the case, I have only experienced praise from old colleagues who have also expressed that biathlon looks exciting.

"Is a safer and more stable biathlete"

Have they been curious and asked for tips and advice before a possible change of sport?

- It has not happened that I have become a guru, but certainly that it has been expressed "how brave you are, I would almost like to do it myself", but it is not a hasty decision you make.

But if you feel like it, I'm the first to say "drive".

This winter, it is the World Cup and performing there, which is the primary focus for Stina Nilsson, even though it is a WC year.

Regardless, the 29-year-old feels more prepared than ever.

- I enter my third year as a biathlete, of course I enter with a little more meat on my legs.

I still feel that the people I compete against have grown up with biathlon, so it won't be the same, but I just have to start from myself and then I feel that I am a more confident and stable biathlete, she says.
