For his 34th birthday, Robert Lewandowski gave himself a nice birthday present.
The Polish centre-forward, star rookie of the summer at FC Barcelona, scored his first goal in Blaugrana colors in an official match on Sunday at Real Sociedad on the second day of La Liga, after less than a minute of play.
The striker got ahead of his direct defender and took over a fine pass from young Alex Balde after just 44 seconds of play to give FC Barcelona the advantage 1-0.
The Swedish striker of Real Sociedad Alexander Isak however equalized in stride (5th).
Barça accelerates at the end of the match
The Catalans then had to wait until the end of the match to find the key thanks to three other goals: Ousmane Dembélé (66th), then again "Lewy" himself (68th), and Ansu Fati (79th).
In the end, thanks to a renewed efficiency in attack, Barcelona tamed Real Sociedad 4-1 in San Sebastian and thus scored their first victory of the season in the league.
Lewandowski was transferred on July 19 for five years from Bayern Munich.
He was recruited in exchange for 45 million euros and 5 million euros in possible bonuses.
