With less than a minute left in the title match against England's Leon Edwards, reigning champion Kamaru Usman of Nigeria looked like he had everything in a small box.

He had controlled the fight and was heading for a given victory on points when challenger Leon Edwards feinted with his right fist and followed up with a left kick that hit exactly where it was going.

The knock was immediate.

- I can't describe it in words, says Edwards according to Reuters.

Usman, who had successfully defended his title on five occasions, had tied Anderson Silva's UFC record of 16 straight wins with a win.

Usman and Edwards are in the same weight class as the Swedish star Khamzat Chimaev, who is currently ranked fourth in the class.
