Chelsea in the English Premier League have imposed an indefinite ban on a fan who discriminated against Son Heung-min during a match.

"Chelsea has confirmed the identity of a fan who made racist gestures in the stands against Tottenham last week," Chelsea said on the club's website.

On the 15th, during the match between Chelsea and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge in London, England, Tottenham's Son Heung-min was racially discriminated against by a Chelsea home fan.

As Heung-Min Son moved to take a corner kick, a man took off his top in the stands and ripped his eyes to the side.

The Chelsea club later said in a statement that "all acts of discrimination are abhorrent" and that "an investigation is ongoing and strong action will be taken once the identity of the person is identified."

In 2019, Chelsea also imposed a life-long ban on fans for racist acts against Manchester City player Raheem Sterling during a match against Manchester City in 2019.

Sterling moved to Chelsea from Manchester City last month.
