It was a sunny afternoon on a packed Strandvallen that met the players in both teams.

Malmö were chasing their second straight win, while the home team hoped to get back on the winning track.

Malmö was the better team in the first half, but it wasn't until the second half of the match that there was a net rattle for the first time.

Then it was Mjällby's Jacob Bergström who attacked along the left flank and was the man behind the lead goal with his fine action.

Teammate Viktor Gustafsson acted quickly on the rebound and headed the ball in behind a chanceless Johan Dahlin in Malmö's goal.

Two dream modes

A few minutes later, when Mjällby had just finished cheering and least expected it, Malmö responded through Veljko Birmancevic.

With his fifth goal of the season, the Serbian breathed new life into the visitors, who then pushed for a lead for the rest of the game.

Within a span of 60 seconds, the 1-1 goalscorer had two dream chances to score another goal and secure three important points at the top of the table for Malmö.

- What positions does Malmö have now and what positions does Birmancevic have, says Discovery's commentator Niklas Jarelind.

But Samuel Brolin and Mjällby resisted and could state that they played 1-1 for the second home game in a row.
