Real Madrid won their second successive victory and returned with a four-way victory from the stadium of its host, Selavigo, in the second stage of the Spanish Football League.

The Royal Club confirmed its intention to defend its title in the Spanish League, and Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti proved that his team was not affected by the departure of Brazilian player Casemiro towards Manchester United.

With the absence of German Toni Kroos due to illness, Ancelotti relied on veteran Luka Modric along with the two young men, Eduardo Camavinga and Orlin Chuamini in the middle of the field, an option that allowed Real Madrid to control the match, especially in the second half.

Real Madrid scored with a penalty kick, which was executed by Karim Benzema in the 14th minute, before Iago Aspas managed to equalize for Celtavego in the 23rd minute, also from a penalty kick.

Before the end of the first half, Croatian Luka Modric starred and scored the lead for Real Madrid in the 42nd minute after a distinguished individual effort and a perfect shot that the Selavigo goalkeeper could not find but to follow as it slammed into his net.

Real Madrid extended its control in the second half, and succeeded in consolidating its lead with a double through Vinicius Junior in the 56th minute and Federico Valverde in the 66th minute.

Belgian substitute Eden Hazard missed a penalty kick for Real Madrid in the 87th minute.

Real Madrid raised its score to 6 points with the full score after its return with a 2-1 victory from Almeria in the first stage of the Spanish League, and Selavigo's balance froze at one point after its draw in the opening round 2-2 with Espanyol.

In the next stage, Real Madrid will be a guest of Espanyol, while Celtavigo will face its host Girona.
