This was reported by journalist Chris Peters on Twitter, citing the head of the organization, Luc Tardif.

On July 5, the disciplinary committee of the federation rejected the appeals of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation for suspension from international tournaments.

On May 27, the IIHF extended Russia's suspension from all tournaments to 2023 and suspended the national team from participating in the 2023 World Cup.

The organization also withdrew the right to host the 2023 World Cup, which was supposed to be held in St. Petersburg from May 5 to 21.

Earlier, IIHF Secretary General Matti Nurminen said that at the moment it is too early to restore contact with Russia.
