As for Modric, he wrote, "Dear Casemiro, I still remember your first start with the club, how nervous you were. I asked you to be calm and now I think about it and see how it ended. Manchester United had reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign the Brazilian midfielder.
"Manchester United is pleased to announce that the club has reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Casemiro. It remains only to reach an agreement regarding personal terms, the player's UK visa and medical examination," a statement said.
"Casimiro has played more than 500 professional matches, including 64 international matches with the Brazilian national team. The player won 17 titles in his career, including five European Champions League titles and one Copa America."
The British news agency "PA Media" learned that the value of the deal amounted to 60 million pounds ($71 million), in addition to 10 million pounds in variables, while the player's contract will be 4 years with the possibility of adding another year.
Casemiro joined Real Madrid from Sao Paulo in 2013, and since then he has been a regular player with Real Madrid, and has participated in more than 300 matches.
