The Emirati hero did not control himself after announcing his victory at the expense of the American Joseph Powers, as he grabbed the fingers of the Emirates flag from the sides and prostrated thanks to God, and then engaged in a hysterical fit of crying with joy before heading to the stands and hugging his father, who was encouraging him, and he also entered the A fit of tears of joy at the world's achievement.
The Emirati champion indicated in press statements after winning the gold medal in the presence of a large audience, that he decided to participate in the tournament 20 days before its start, and that he trained during this period in the hope that he would achieve his aspirations to win, and said: “This is an indescribable feeling, I achieved a gold medal.” And I am in the beginning of my life, now I can tell the whole world that I am a hero.”
Jassim Al Hosani stated that he could not describe the feeling of winning the gold medal, and told Abu Dhabi Sports Channel: “This is indescribable. My happiness is definitely indescribable, I felt nervous because my competitors He's very experienced compared to me, I'm glad I managed to beat him and get this gold medal."
For his part, the father of the champion Jassim Al Hosani said that his son spent only 20 days training, and succeeded in achieving the great achievement by winning the gold medal, adding: “This achievement is not for my son, but for all the Emirates, starting with the wise leadership. This is the son of the Emirates, he was raised to listen and obey, and we are happy for him to receive this medal.”
And he revealed the secret of the phone call that he had with his son before the last fight, and he said: “He called me before facing his American rival, Joseph Powers, and told me that he was feeling confused. Also because I, in turn, was worried.”
It is noteworthy that the competitions also witnessed Abdullah Al Darmaki winning silver in the 40-kg category in the under-16 category, Zayed Al-Hammadi (13 years old), with bronze in the under-48 kg, and Zayed Al-Dhabari (12-year-old) with bronze in the under-37-kg category.
