In the Danish Hjörring, the first of two rounds in the Champions League qualifiers will be decided.

It is played as a mini-tournament between four teams on a neutral ground.

Kristianstad took the lead in the 19th minute of the semi-final against Ajax through notorious goalscorer Evelyn Viens in a fine first half.

Ajax equalized through Victora Pelova in the 63rd minute.

Pelova received a deep ball behind the Swedes' back line and finished between the legs of Melina Loeck.

Dream mode to confirm

It was Ajax who pressed for a winning goal in the second half and in the 84th minute came the deciding factor.

It was the substitute Eshly Bakker who, after less than six minutes on the field, made it 2-1, after a nice pass diagonally inwards from the right wing.

In the 92nd minute, Tabitha Tindell had a dream chance to tie the score at 2-2, but the finish hit the outside of the goal post.

Instead, Ajax countered in 3-1 seconds later.

Although Kristianstad can no longer reach the group stage in the Champions League, they will play a match for third place in the tournament in Hjörring on Sunday.
