Khaddi Sagnia has had a tough time after the WC in Eugene earlier in the summer and has struggled with a tired body and a tired head.

- What has been a bit difficult since I came home from the WC has been the approach, and that is because my body is tired.

It's a bit of a "work in progress".

I feel much better than I did when I got home.

But there is still a long way to go.

It has been competition after competition and very little break between the competitions and travel involved.

You don't recognize yourself in the end.

You are tired and worn out, she tells SVT Sport.

Sagnia has said that she enters the European Championships without a medal as her goal.

But the chance is alive after she secured a place in the final on Tuesday morning.

She started somewhat shakily with 6.19 in the first attempt.

Her second jump measured 6.41 and an increase was needed in the third attempt to secure the final.

Sagnia withstood the pressure and jumped 6.59 which took her to the final.

But the result is a bit off her personal best of 6.95.

- It was a bit difficult the first few jumps, but I got it in the last.

That was nice.

As long as you get it done, it doesn't matter if it's in second or third.

The final will be decided on Thursday evening starting at 20.58.

You can see the competition on SVT1 and SVT Play.
