A former coach in Al-Ain leads the Syrian national teams for the Sunni stages

He also worked as director of the Bahraini Riffa Club Academy and assistant coach for the first team in the 2007-2008 season. He led the Hungarian Olympic team under-21 years between 2008 and 2009, before leading the Hungarian U-20 team to third place in the championship. World Cup in Egypt in 2009.

Van Buren has training experiences in the Arab region, after he trained the age groups of the Saudi Al-Ahly between 2010 and 2014, and then moved to coach the U-19 team in the Emirati Al Shabab Club in the 2014-2015 season, before serving as director of the scouting department and member of the technical department in the Saudi Federation until 2017, and then moved to Al Ain Club.
