The new electric cars running in the World Rallycross are the fastest ever in the championship, with twin engines and 680 horsepower.

- It is fantastic that the new era of the Rallycross World Championship finally starts this weekend.

It will be a season to remember, said Johan Kristoffersson after the cars were presented on Thursday.

When it came time for the premiere in Norway, there were a lot of worries.

The winner Johan Kristoffersson had technical problems in the semi-final and won the final thanks to a fantastic overtake in the first corner where he took three cars.

Aksel Lund Svindal missed the final

- Many things have been good this weekend, but also things that we need to learn from in order to develop.

On the whole, it has been good.

Congratulations to all the teams who have cars to start.

The victory was Kristoffersson's 28th in the WC context.

He finished 3.6 seconds ahead of runner-up Timmy Hansen and third came Ole Christian Veiby.

- I am very happy about the win.

Norway's skiing legend Aksel Lund Svindal made his rallycross debut in the support class FIA RX2e Championship, but had to retire after a blow in the progression race that prevented him from driving the semi-final in front of the home crowd.

The next competition will be held in Riga on September 3-4.
