It was hot in Borås, but the question was whether it wasn't even hotter in Borås' arena.

With five minutes left in regular time, Alexander Bernhardsson was sent on as a substitute, 2–1 for the home team Elfsborg.

Great joy in the home stands, but it was short-lived when the refereeing team made the decision to rule out the goal when they found a hand on Bernhardsson at an earlier stage - something that angered the Borås club.

- It took quite a long time before the decision was changed, but it is not something we will pursue right now, says Elfsborg's coach Jimmy Thelin in Discovery+.

"Think we got along"

"Peking's" new coach Glen Riddersholm, who was presented on Monday, about the match:

- It was stable, I think we stuck together as a team, we made it difficult for Elfsborg.

Elfsborg was the team that took the lead in the match when an unmarked Michael Baidoo pushed in 1-0 from close range after 33 minutes of play.

Arnór Sigurdsson arranged the equalizer - and the final score 1-1 - 20 minutes into the second half.

Draw in Degerfors

Elfsborg is tenth in the table with 23 points after 18 rounds, one place and three points ahead of today's opponent.

There was also a draw elsewhere as Degerfors and Varbergs Bois finished 1–1.

With the points, Degerfors moved up to the qualification spot and pushed Helsingborgs IF below the relegation zone.

Varberg is twelfth in the table.
